1) How to create a successful public education program
2) How to provide public education with limited funds or staffing
3) How a public education program can lessen call processing barriers and support better 911 service for the community
Program Descrprtion
This session will cover how to implement or revamp a 9-1-1 public education program in your PSAP, including public education basics along with elementary-aged 911 public education, middle school-aged students first starting to stay home alone, and high school/new driver 911 education. There will also be examples of a successful program proven with statistics and a roundtable discussion for sharing ideas regarding public education.
Presenter Bio
Stephanie Kroll is a Telecommunicator with Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office and previously worked for Lake Zurich Police Department. Having worked in 911 for over five years, she is currently an intern with the Denise Amber Lee Foundation and actively involved in Illinois NENA.
